According to it, 37% of companies in the IT, finance, insurance and food sectors are innovative, while 48% in the construction and non-food FMCG sectors do not apply enough innovation in their activities.<\/p>\n<p>Over 70% of managers claim that they encourage their employees to share their ideas for the development of the company and indicate that they ensure innovation mainly through internal investments. Less than 10% of companies rely on state or European financial funds. More than half of the surveyed managers believe that the bureaucracy, administrative and tax burden on companies should be reduced. As the main obstacles to the development of innovations in Bulgaria, they point to weak state support and the lack of sufficiently qualified and motivated personnel.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, companies have introduced innovations most often in terms of new ways to promote sales (43%) and improving existing company products and services (38%) as an additional effect of the crisis and response to the state of emergency.<\/p>\n<p>Every second company is determined to seek new development opportunities and increase its production volume in 2022. The most common concerns this year are related to the rise in electricity prices (60%), reduced consumer purchasing power (51%), increased inflationary pressure (47%) and staff shortages (45%).<br \/>\nThe top three strongest sectors of the Bulgarian economy are tourism, information technology and agriculture. According to them, the sectors that need the most additional development are agriculture (60%), tourism (55%), education (50%) and healthcare (49%).<\/p>\n<p>The survey was conducted among 200 founders, owners of Bulgarian companies and high-level managers from various fields, men and women aged 30-61+, balanced by gender, age, place of residence and size of the settlement. The fieldwork was carried out with an online user panel JTN Panel, using the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) methodology.
