70% said they would celebrate Christmas only with their closest friends
\nMore than half of Bulgarians will spend the upcoming holidays in the closest family circle. This is shown by a new national – representative survey by the JTN agency. 70% said that they will celebrate Christmas only with their closest relatives, and nearly 80% will welcome the New Year at home. Only 4 percent will be alone during the holidays, due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

More than half of Bulgarians have decided to buy gifts for up to four people. Most people have spent between 100 and 250 leva on surprises for their loved ones. 20% have decided to spend less than 100 leva on all gifts. Cosmetics, books, clothes and technology are among the most desired purchases.<\/p>\n

And more from the study. Before it becomes clear that the restrictions remain in effect for the holidays – Over 40 percent respond that they would celebrate not only with their family, but also with friends. Approximately the same percentage would travel to visit relatives or on vacation. And if restaurants open – a quarter of people would celebrate the holidays there.<\/p>\n
